Excited about the promo videos.
I’m very excited that the realization seems to be in reach.
Antsy, you might say.

So far I’ve gleaned this.

The actual making needs proper lighting, I bought a light ring and it works perfectly.
Also needs excellent sound. A quality mic has been added to my little studio.
I hope the background is acceptable as is.
I’ve added a touch of Chopin as background.

Learned how to save and file the videos.
Now working on giving each a URL for posting on the social media.
I’ve honed in on YouTube which gives the promo its own URL.
Now I have to sign up to add a hyperlink to the video so that viewers who like the promo can click on to the site.

Every time I’ve solved one problem I’m confronted with another.
Life, isn’t it?

Hopefully on Monday afternoon a meeting with my tech support will take me there.
I’m really enjoying the process.

Sunday’s Dinner posted on

The smell of someone’s frying chicken drew me into making a fried chicken dinner with chicken legs which I prefer to the breast.

I slow-roasted the chicken pieces at 200*.
The largest piece was three-quarters of a pound.
Since I slow-roast chickens at 40 minutes per pound, I roasted the pieces for 30 minutes.

Then I battered them and fried them in simmering canola oil.
Seven minutes a side browned the pieces nicely and finished the cooking.

It depicts Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, who became lifelong friends with Russell after meeting him at Fernand Cormon's atelier in Paris, which they both attended.

Painted in a realist and academic manner, the portrait shows hints of the impressionist techniques with which they began experimenting in the latter half of the 1880s.
It is the earliest of three portraits painted of Van Gogh by his contemporaries, the other two being Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's Portrait of Vincent van Gogh (1887) and Paul Gauguin's The Painter of Sunflowers (1888).

Van Gogh seems to have been particularly attached to Russell's portrait, which Russell gifted to him as a mark of their friendship.
The painting passed from Van Gogh to his brother Theo and then to their family; it is now in the collection of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

Good Morning on this Tuesday, the thirtieth day of July, 2019

I keep a small repro of “Starry, starry night.”

Our lead picture features a portrait of Van Gogh and our Thumbnail adds a bit more info on it.
Our commentary expresses excitement at the progress of the technology and the blog.
We posted a Boston weather report and the ‘ticking calendar’ as illustrated by the growing number of posts as calendar markers.
We posted a chuckle and shared a dinner.
And we thanked all those who responded to the promo video.

And now? Gotta go.

Che vuoi? Le pocketbook?
See you soon.
Your love.
