Saturday is the only day I need a car.
As early as the stores open for business I am there, to beat the crowds in the stores and the traffic on the highways.
Total Wines, Costco, Market Basket, Gas Station, Union Square Donuts, and Home Depot are all on this circuit.
I return home with a selection of bottles and canned goods that is substantially less expensive than if I had to buy them in the city.
And easier to carry, as well.
A good use of the car.
I did use the car well for my near thirty-day auto trip in September.
That was good.
And my daughter uses the car everyday she’s home: all summer and three times a year totaling another month.
And I do occasionally use the car for an odd errand.
But goodness, seven months a year I don’t need a car.
And it costs so much to buy and maintain and, living downtown as I do, to park.
I know there’s a site whereby you can rent your car out on the days your not using it.
But that brings up other problems, most importantly, damage. But also smells, adjustments to the controls, and things I’m sure I’m not considering.
I’ve considered alternative motor vehicle solutions to my needs, like Zip Cars, taxis, and Rent-a-cars and rejected each for one reason (cost too high) or another, (great inconvenience.)
So I guess I’ll go along grossly overpaying for a convenience I wish I didn’t need.

Time is 12.01am.
On Sunday, Boston’s temperature will reach a high of 34* with a feels-like temperature of 25.
Cold.
According to the Blog’s “Winter Calendar, Jan2 to Feb13,” we have only three days remaining on our winter calendar.
The “Winter-Spring Shoulder Season Calendar, Feb 14 to April 7” is our next calendar and our next measurement of time as we march the thirteen plus years to the 5,000th and final posting.

Good Morning on this Sunday, the 10th day of February.
We talked about an automobile’s downtime.
And the start of the new “Winter-Spring Shoulder Season Calendar, Feb 14 to April 7” and its charting of slowly improving weather.
Slowly.
We started a series of elephant jokes.
And finally, we answered the question of the day, discovering that Milo is a pretty well sought after TV star.
We’re done.
Che vuoi? Le pocketbook?
See you soon.
Love
