Am in Swarthmore, PA, sharing a room at the Inn at Swarthmore with my daughter.
She totally exhausted after a yeoman’s day, a Herculean effort.
Had little sleep on Tuesday night, up until 2.00am Thursday morning, packing, brilliantly, I may add, for a 7.00am drive from Boston to Swarthmore.
At the college, finding her room and key, and somewhat under the radar, gained entrance and unloaded a carful of heavy luggage, carrying it up three flights.
Unpacked.
Showered.
Dinner w dad.
Out with friends.
Back to hotel on Thursday night.
Disturbed by my waking at 3.00am.
No use to lie in bed.
I had been asleep since 11.00pm.
Four hours.
Excellent sleep.
Enough.
I shaved, dressed, and went downstairs to the hotel lobby.
Wrote today’s blog.
Early enough start so I can make myself available for the errands Kat needs to accomplish to settle in.
My plans are to exit the hotel room by noon, afternoon walking about Philadelphia with Kat, dine in Philadelphia with Kat and friend, Howard D, and, with luck, Melissa, married to Howard.
Drive Kat back to Swarthmore.
And at 9.00pm drive part of the way back to Boston, taking a motel room about 10.30 or 11.00pm.
Get me past New York City early on Saturday morning before others are awake.
Easy trip back to Boston.
Back in harness.
Back to video production.
Learning.
Improving.

Media is a small town in Pennsylvania, much loved by the college kids surrounding it, like from Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr.
We found ourselves there on Thursday night for an admirable meal of “stuff, stuff, and heavy,” as Calvin Trilling used to say.
Nice.

From Kali L:
Note: Given the serious nature of the poem submitted by Kali L and published as the August 30th commentary, I called Kali to see how she was doing. We laughed heartily. She’s doing fine, warning me that her revision is even moe extreme.
Oh, no!
But here it is,
Kali Leonardo

Chuckle of the day:

Two dog owners arguing over which has the smarter dog.
“My dog is so smart, every morning he waits for the paper boy to come around and then…”
“And then he takes the paper to you.”
“How did you know that?”
"My dog told me."

Misty Talley graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in fine arts from the Visual Arts Media Program. She originally intended to become a video installation artist and teaches editing at her alma mater.
Talley became the first woman to direct a Syfy original film when she directed the 2015 television film Zombie Shark.
She chose to direct shark films because she loves monster movies and thinks that shark films are a genre "for filmmakers to cut their teeth on".
Talley stated that she loves the challenge of shooting shark-based films.
She said that her shark films are more of an action adventure with camp and focuses more on the characters than similar films.
Her other productions include editing productions for Lifetime and local filmmakers.
The majority of the feature length films she works on are edited in Lafayette with about five projects being worked on at once.
Her short film Ten To Sing was selected for the Cannes Film Festival short films corner as part of the Marché du Film.
The short film is almost 13 minutes long and is about Pearl, an elderly woman who finally decides to leave her home, only to discover that she is the last person on Earth.
Talley stated, "I've made two short films over the span of three years. I'm really excited to learn about how I can make more content at a faster pace with better quality and longer run times, too."
She owns the production company Fable House which is based in Louisiana and focuses on New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette.
