Hello my friends
I'm very happy you are visiting!

August 27

Yesterday I picked up my twenty-year-old daughter in Chelmsford, Ma at noon.
We enjoyed a lovely drove to Ogunquit, catching up nonstop about the summer past.

Yesterday I picked up my twenty-year-old daughter in Chelmsford, Ma at noon.
We enjoyed a lovely drove to Ogunquit, catching up nonstop about the summer past.
We parked for $25.00 and walked out along the Marginal Way, getting some fried calamari to nosh along the way.
Weather was sunny and 68*, perfect for the walk.

This is us on the walk:

At the end of the walk we stopped for coffee and dessert at an Italian café and then headed for the return walk to the $25.00 parking lot to retrieve our car.
Then came a forty-mintue drive up Rte 1 to Kennebunk and the White Barn Inn No Bushes in sight.
The ambience, service, and food were excellent,; the prices predictably high.
We drove home to Boston, arriving nine hours from our meetup.
Spectacular.

True love lasts forever.
At the World Cup Final.
A man makes his way to his seat right next to the pitch and notices that the seat next to him is empty.
He leans over and asks his neighbor if someone will be sitting there.
‘No,’ she says, ‘The seat is empty.’
“Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Final and not use it?”
“Well actually the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my husband but he passed away. This is the first World Cup Final we haven’t been to together since we got married.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s terrible. And you couldn’t find someone else, a friend, a relative to take his seat?”
“No,’ she says. ‘They’re all at the funeral.’

Polystichum setiferum, also known as the soft shield-fern, is an evergreen or semi-evergreen fern native to southern and western Europe.
The Latin specific epithet, setiferum, means 'with bristles'.

The species is frequently cultivated as an ornamental plant for use in gardens.

In botany, an evergreen is a plant that has leaves throughout the year that are always green.
This is true even if the plant retains its foliage only in warm climates, and contrasts with deciduous plants, which completely lose their foliage during the winter or dry season.
