Hello my friends
I'm very happy you are visiting!

At the age of 21, Schaeffer was murdered by a fan who had been stalking her. The murder prompted the passage of anti-stalking laws in California.

I love roast pork.
Here’s our simple but delicious recipe for it:

PORK RIB SLOW-ROAST
2-rib roast
prep 2TB Asian Oil (Asian Oil, our term, is Sesame Oil flavored with a saute of fresh garlic, ginger, and scallions, strained and set aside for future use.) if not available, use Sesame Oil, with 1 TB 5-Spice powder, (5-Spice powder: equal parts of cumin,  curry,  ginger,  garlic, onion)

Brush pork with seasoned Asian Oil
Pour 1 cup stock into baking pan

Slow-roast (200* oven) pork for 45 minutes per pound (pork takes longer than poultry)
Take pork out of oven and baste with the drippings (add a touch more Asian Oil if needed)

Crank oven to 475*
Cook for 10 minutes.

(Desired temperature: 140*; 145* kills off pathogens; temperature will rise during 10 minute settling.)
Top with a piece of herbed butter
Let roast sit for ten minutes.

Take the Night Back
By Kali Lamparelli

My breath caught in my chest as you said,

I just don’t think I can do this anymore.

Fenway was dark at that hour, of course

the games ended months before.

Do what? I prodded, nails clenching

the car door hoping we’d circle back

up from the drain we were going down.

This. Your mental illness. We hit a pothole.

It’s my mental illness. I handle it.

He’ll wring his hands at a red light; an eternity.

I thought I’d wake up and feel differently someday

but it’s just not fair to you anymore.

I wrote us a book titled: Love in the Yellow House on Orange Street.

It had an ending.

I stuffed three years of objects into a bag as I hurried out the door to return

to my parents at 2am.

Please let me know when you get home safe he’ll say for the first time.

Weeks later, a package arrived in the mail with a single photograph and etched on the back:

I love you, always.

In my new ending of this love story,

I wave goodbye and wish him well.

He never sends a photo

There are no words

The silence is enough

Tracking Postings – Tracking Time
Friday, July 19, 2019

Our 469th consecutive posting, committed to 5,000.
After 469 posts we’re at the 9.38 percentile of our commitment, that commitment a different way of marking the passage of time.
Posting always done by 6.00am the day of, but usually by 6pm of the night before.

On this day Boston will present residents with a hot day, a high of 88* but a feels-like of 95* with a mix of clouds.
The next three days look very hot and we’ll be on the lookout for strong thunderstorms.

Chuckle of the Day:
Friday, July 19, 2019

Ten men and one woman hung from a rope dangling from a helicopter.
They all agreed that one person should get off, because if they didn’t, the rope would break and everyone would die.
No one immediately volunteered until the woman gave a touching speech saying she would give up her life to save the others because women were used to giving up things for their husbands and children and giving in to men and not receiving anything in return.
When she finished speaking, all the men started clapping.

Rebecca Lucile Schaeffer (November 6, 1967 – July 18, 1989) was an American model and actress.

She began her career as a teen model before moving on to acting.
In 1986, she landed the role of Patricia "Patti" Russell in the CBS comedy My Sister Sam.
The series was canceled in 1988, and Schaeffer appeared in several films, including the black comedy Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills.

At the age of 21, Schaeffer was murdered by a fan who had been stalking her.

Good Morning on this Friday, the nineteenth day of July, 2019

Our lead picture presents Rebecca Schaeffer, a young actress killed in her home by a fan and our Thumbnail adds a bit more info to that.
Our commentaries include Kali L, a poignant poem of loss, and a more mundane recipe: Pork Roast.
We posted a Boston weather report, the ticking calendar, and the growing number of posts as calendar markers.
We posted a chuckle of men clapping at a most inauspicious moment and mentioned that our dinner was Lamb Stew.

And now? Gotta go.

Che vuoi? Le pocketbook?
See you soon.
Your love.
