So we taped last night and indeed did produce an acceptable copy of a new video, published within.
But in the category of ‘one step forward,’ we lost an established video.
How.
We rerecorded the Gorilla and Chihuahua video.
We uploaded to You Tube which rejected it because they already had the prior one posted.
Okay.
We called up the prior recording on our You Tube channel and got a box: Warning. If you delete you may not repost this video.
We deleted.
We uploaded the new one.
“Rejected. We already posted this and deleted it.
”We may not repost.”
That means no URL link; no chihuahua joke. One of my favorites.
That -----!

Your blog is the main reason I started writing poems again
Thank you
Failing
By Kali Lamparelli
Everyone forgets that the Sirens prayed for
wings when Persephone was taken by Hades.
It’s that way when love loses its’ breath and
relationships fail. People are always saying
they knew it would end. Why did she try anyway?
Is she a lesbian? Is she too smart? Did she tell
him too soon she didn’t want children? Was it
her mental illness? Now the internet lets you know
when your ex enters a relationship without you.
Anything worth doing is worth doing.
Like that time we slept the terrace doors of our
hotel in Barcelona open because the A/C was broken.
Why didn’t we ask for a new room?
Every Sunday when I’d make you pancakes you’d
ignore me to work and join me when they got cold.
Or the late nights when we’d plug your ears so
you could please your friends and keep your hearing.
I was content to not go. I can still taste your hairspray
in my mouth. I once wrote you all my relationship intentions
in an email. You responded, I love you, too. No, no, you loved
the way I made you feel. You drew on my account of emotion
and by the end I was bankrupt. They can say we failed and I was more than enough.

The big news is the completion of the first of the "Hey, Dom! How're you doin?" series, published herein.
Hope it adds something.
The negative is that the piece is somber to a fault.
I’ll need to iighten it soon.
This is our 497th posting.
Hoping to sail through to #5,000 and then reassess.
Note that our goal is to publish each day’s post the evening before, at 6.00pm.
But we always publish by 6.00am of the day due.

We made a traditional Italo-Gravy today, a tomato-based sauce flavored today with meatballs, pork roast, chicken drumsticks, and spareribs.
Served with giant shells from Italy.
Delicious.

Chuckle of the Day:
Friday, August 16, 2019
The last words my grandpa told my grandmother were“Sweetie, I’ll see you in heaven!”
The day after, grandma kicked a neighbors’ puppy, a day later she walked out of church service with Sunday’s collection, and Monday, she set fire to an orphanage and then wrestled the hose from one of the firemen and turned it on him.

From Sally C: two thoughts
Dom,
Re: make-up and other camera-ready prep: I suppose that some of this is necessary, if you have strong lights that will wash out your features. BUT: You are already stunningly handsome, in a most appealing Dom way. I absolutely love that soft black hat contrasting with your white hair. And you have wonderfully bright, lively eyes from which your heart shines.
If you post this, be sure to post also that I hereby certify and testify that you did not pay me to compliment you.
I'm pleased that Kali loves to hear from my mother. So do I! I am truly and deeply blessed that she is still such an active influence in my life, one of the most creative, thoughtful, and intelligent souls I have ever known. And I have just enough brain cells to realize and appreciate it. The two of us are like the Bobbsey Twins - when she needs to get a project done, she does all kinds of research on the best way, and then when we get together, we hardly have to speak about it to set to work, enjoying our time together while chatting about all kinds of other things.
Oh, here: I've attached a picture of her, from her 90th birthday party.
Sally
Web Meister responds: Love the love between you and mom.
And a great photo!

In Ancient Greece, the gorgoneion was a special apotropaic amulet showing the head of a Gorgon, used most famously by the Olympian deities Athena and Zeus: both are said to have worn the gorgoneion as a protective pendant.
It was assumed, among other godlike attributes, as a royal aegis to imply divine birth or protection, by rulers of the Hellenistic age, as shown, for instance, on the Alexander Mosaic and the Gonzaga Cameo.
The lead picture shows a wooden door panel with a carving of a gorgoneion, intended to guard the house from unwanted guests.
It is located at the Hôtel Amelot de Bisseuil in Paris and was created around 1660 by French sculptor Thomas Regnaudin.
Also by Thomas Regnaudin:
English: Le Loiret - Statue of the Parterre d'Eau (bassin du Midi) of the château de Versailles in France.
